Sustainability, process improvements as well as product improvements
That the RenoS9000® has become a fixture in the market landscape of the window and profile industry, everyone will absolutely be able to confirm. The revolution announced last year at KUFA Window Systems in IJmuiden, has since become an evolution of the field. But nothing comes naturally. The basis is always the indomitable urge to innovate. Henk Weber and Didier Holslag are the strong drivers of these processes. "I think we can distinguish three clear innovation pillars of our organization," says the pair. "Sustainability, process improvements as well as product improvements."
In this article, we briefly discuss the three pillars. Consider these as a further introduction to the ambitions in IJmuiden. Perhaps it is even a foretaste of how the market will continue to develop and ... what the new standard in the field will look like!
Looking to the future and taking responsibility for it has always been and always will be very important for KUFA Window Systems. "Recycling and creating circular processes is an essential part of our strategy towards energy cost-saving measures. We think along the green line of society," said Henk and Didier. In September, for example, new solar panels were mounted on the roof of the plant in IJmuiden. "Environmental and climate-friendly thinking and acting is in our genes. Practice What You Preach. It's as simple as that."
The RenoS9000® is seen as the ultimate example of efficiency and performance. Didier: "This renovation profile has drastically reduced the assembly time in the market. Where previously four days were needed, now only two days are needed to assemble everything with the same number of employees. The crux is in the product itself, which has allowed construction speed to be increased on site, thus saving everyone time. In times of enormous labor shortages, this has obviously become incredibly relevant. Creating process improvements is the basis because that's where the whole chain wins."
By the RenoS9000® reduces the amount of waste and requires less breaking and demolition, so the end customer - the individual - experiences virtually no inconvenience. And, above all, let's not forget that the profile has an unprecedented high insulation value. But there was more: the concealed hinges! Last year these already achieved the SKG Hallmark Class II on these important criteria. "With this burglar-resistant InviKu® system the hinges are completely concealed."
Henk concludes, "Our mission is to make life a little bit more pleasant for everyone in the window frame and profile industry. And, to be perfectly honest and in all modesty, I think we have already succeeded quite nicely in that."
A fourth pillar is on the way
There is actually a fourth pillar in the IJmuiden company's innovation strategy. This then refers to ISC's lowered sills for the RenoS9000®. The next issue of Profile (October/November 2022) will highlight it in more detail with a report. Henk Weber says about it now, "Wheelchair accessibility is guaranteed with this new sill. Moreover, this new sill is applicable to even the narrowest frame profiles."
