'Always get the job done'

There is no getting away from it in today's job market. Employers have to contend with a large personnel shortage and qualified personnel is hard to find. "Profimax offers the solution," says director Henri Lensen. In November, the company already had 10 years as a leading player in the temporary employment industry in the mediation of professionals in the facade construction industry. "Only flexibility keeps everything moving. Because of the way we work, we keep the flexible shell maximally flexible. We move with the client towards the right solution."

In order to continue to meet the needs of its clients, the company has added two divisions, Construction and Technology, to its existing facade construction division, which is growing substantially. The intermediary distinguishes itself in the temporary employment sector by having sufficient professional professionals in Facade Construction, Construction and Engineering, who can be deployed immediately.

"We have a network of professionals, whether a construction helper or concrete carpenter, who are available immediately, with all necessary certificates or diplomas such as VCA, GPI, Construction Pass, Pbm's, approved basic tools, A1and Limosa. But also our temps speak English and/or Dutch. We always keep a sizeable pool of professionals available for when there is a sudden high extra demand from the market. Everyone we introduce has been personally screened by us and if necessary retrained or trained so that they meet the Profimax standard with the required equipment," Lensen explains.

One-stop-shop delivery

Profimax believes that retaining staff is currently at least as difficult as recruiting new employees. "Hence, within our organization, we work a lot with permanent teams, which are supported and guided on a daily basis by our field managers," says Lensen. "The field managers are highly experienced professional professionals who exude a certain seniority and therefore a certain confidence. It is a unique concept within our staffing industry. We go into the production or construction site at the start-up phase and ask our clients specifically about their desired job profiles. We then hold these against the skill matrices of our employees. We then see if the job profile meets them, focusing of course on achieving the right match. This system virtually eliminates drop-outs. Managing expectations is key in the start-up process, both for the employee and for the client."

In other words, always get the job done, a one-stop-shop delivery: Profimax arranges and supervises this entire process in detail for the client.

Planning pressure

In the longer term, Profimax is experiencing few or no problems and Lensen foresees plenty of work volume. In the short term, on the other hand, the availability of materials does pose challenges due to the current situation in Ukraine. For example, in scheduling. "When five men are scheduled for a project but there is no material, they cannot move forward either. However, the client wants a guarantee that they can still have those five workers, once the material arrives. Therein lies a huge challenge for us," Lensen said.

Skilled and certified professionals

"Our workforce for 20% consists of Dutch or Dutch-speakers and further professionals from other European countries. They are only too happy to work here and are trained internally if necessary, so that Profimax can continue to provide the service they are used to."

Only trained and certified professionals are provided. Not jack-of-all-trades, but proud specialists who have mastered their craft and enjoy the work they do. Almost all of them hold VCA, DVP, IPAF and rigger certificates.

"With our three divisions, we can work on one project at a time for different clients, such as the
Galaxy Tower in Utrecht."

Future Vision

Profimax also aligns its goals with sustainability and is committed to safety for its employees. For Lensen, it is very important to have and maintain a bond with the employees, despite the enormous growth. "We treat our employees exactly the same as our customers. Open, honest, down-to-earth and enthusiastic."

Proudly, he adds, "When I drive through the Netherlands, every construction crane represents a potential job that we, as a flexible shell, can be considered for. When you see a construction crane on the Zuidas in Amsterdam, I would even dare to say that we are active there. For us, this is proof that our credo 'always get the job done' is starting to spread like an oil slick, and I am immensely proud of that."
