In the 1970s, the application of sandwich panels was introduced to the Dutch construction industry. In that same decade Panelen Holland BV was founded, which has not only developed into a market leader in custom made sandwich and door panels for facade construction in particular, but also a pioneer in material applications, finishes and safety. "We have extensive knowledge and expertise in bonding various types of materials," says Head of Sales Vincent Wijnja. "From simple panels in Trespa, aluminum, enameled glass, HPL, Renolit and steel to luxury cassette panels, including integrated rock wool insulation, edge frames and recesses. Thanks to our extensive machinery, we can produce sandwich and door panels in all shapes and sizes. From the drawing board/engineering to delivery, we like to think along with, among others, façade builders, plastic and aluminum frame manufacturers, painting companies and contractors to arrive at the best solution for each project. In doing so, we take into account not only the aesthetic and energy requirements and the available budget, but also optimal burglar resistance. Several years ago, we obtained an SKG^** certification. If required, all of our sandwich and door panels can be engineered, produced and delivered in accordance with the technical requirements of this certification system. For example, we have developed a system that prevents the windows from being removed from the door panel from the outside."

A high quality and safe door, conforming to all labels

"Ever since the introduction of the SKG mark, we have noticed that although the security certificate is prescribed in most project specifications, it is not always achieved in practice," Wijnja says. "Even in the year 2020, front doors are still regularly delivered without certification. A missed opportunity, because this does not assure residents of a high-quality and safe door in accordance with the Building Code. As an organization we have been making every effort for several years to deliver products that do comply with the available certification marks. For example, over the past year we have further developed and extensively tested our products, as a result of which we fully comply with the SKG^** certification and other labels such as CSR, ISO14001, ISO9001 and C2C comply."

Panelen Holland BV is active in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Around sixty employees work daily at two production sites in Oosterwolde on the development and production of a variety of sandwich and door panels.

"With our own metalworking department, a complete gluing line and various presses, we can provide customized solutions for every project. No matter how large or small the order," Wijnja says. From a simple Trespa panel to a luxurious, burglar-proof and sash-covering door with recesses, rebates and decorative frames and including see-through glass, frosted glass or embossed glass, creating an aesthetically high-quality streetscape.
