Software house continues to grow: latest version of digital all-rounder in pipeline

Every software house must continue to adapt and expand its products to continually address the demands of a rapidly evolving industry. At Orgadata, they have been investing time and money for years in continuous optimization of their Logikal software. Early next year, the specialist plans to unpack the latest version of this well-known software: LogiKal 12. Thanks to a series of new features, window manufacturers, door manufacturers and facade builders will be able to calculate, engineer and produce their products even more easily, quickly and reliably. The editors of Profile spoke with Paul Thyssen, director of Orgadata Benelux, about the company and their latest gem in the making. 

Logikal remains the output board of Orgadata?

There is not the slightest doubt about that. This software is used daily by window manufacturers, door manufacturers and facade builders to plan and produce their products: from design through estimation, quotation, engineering and work preparation to the intelligent control of the machine. 

Calculating stability, making connections or determining connections, everything is possible. In addition, the software offers users an integrated CAD solution and various standard interfaces to AutoCAD, PPS and ERP systems, for example. 'Logikal MES' (Manufacturing Execution System) is the ideal extension, which digitizes, optimizes and controls the various steps in the production process and thus completely modernizes the workstations. Thus, the efficiency of mass production is also possible in the production of single pieces and emphasis is also placed on paperless production. Today, our people are busy working on the development of Logikal 12, which will be ready in early 2022.

What can we expect from this new version?

Highlights of Logikal 12 will undoubtedly be the new appearance and optimized usability, especially the "look and feel. 

After all, user-friendliness is and remains one of the software's greatest strengths, and everything is only getting clearer. This is ensured, among other things, by the new icons in the program, which make it very simple for the user. 

The latest version of Logikal looks like an MS-Office program. 

In addition, the new 3D representation is an additional asset of the creators. This will delight users, whether they work with the CAD from Logikal or with their own system, which is connected to Orgadata's software via an interface. For example, this version will also include a multi-window function, which allows the user to open several positions and also several projects at the same time. The project center, the heart of the program, will also be improved. After all, that is where it happens and where all programs are started and the individual positions are created: for a window for a house, a door for a store or a facade of a large project. From that center, the user is guided step by step through the elaboration of a project.
