Polyclose is a perfect opportunity for Orgadata to show that its software can work with the entire chain. "Whether we are talking about frame manufacturers, profile houses, hardware suppliers, machine suppliers or software suppliers, our software 'is connecting' in the broadest sense of the word," says Paul Thyssen, director at Orgadata Benelux BV.
It is perhaps the most widely used software package in the window frame industry:LogiKal. This software package developed by Orgadata will be presented at Polyclose in its latest version, the 12th already. "With LogiKal, every manufacturer is able to design, calculate and produce windows, doors and curtain walls for any type and size. LogiKal is supplied by Orgadata with ready-to-use databases and works with almost any brand of profile," Thyssen outlines. "The package is simply impossible to imagine the window frame industry without. Newcomers to the Benelux market are also represented in LogiKal, so bringing in a new profile house can be done safely with LogiKal."
In addition to demonstrations of LogiKal 12, Orgadata is also showing LogiKal MES at Polyclose. Thyssen: "MES stands for 'Manufacturing Execution System.' With it, the entire workshop can be digitized to a level that makes paper redundant. It is fully compatible with the well-known LogiKal and allows every employee to see exactly what he or she needs or sees on the screen, at the right time. MES is the control center for digital and paperless production in window and curtain wall construction. Also, MES provides a good form of status monitoring. "In addition to process optimization (saving time and money), MES also has the advantage of drastically reducing failure costs. Thus, digitization pays for itself."
A new product Orgadata will present at Polyclose is Datasafe. With it, QR codes are applied to the end products. Scanning the QR code provides all the information about the facade element in question. The certification, who made the element, where it was made, what maintenance is required, et cetera. Datasafe makes every element produced traceable," Thyssen said. With Datasafe, all data of the element in question are preserved. This is not only convenient when service or maintenance needs to be performed, but also sustainable.
Orgadata has its roots in the aluminum frame industry, but sees the PVC market growing. "Forty years ago, Orgadata started in the aluminum sector, followed by steel. Right now we see our sales growing in the PVC world. Our goal is to become the market leader in this too. There too we are strong, we are happy to prove that at Polyclose," says Thyssen.
Orgadata's booth will be of interest to both companies that are at the beginning of their digitization process and those that are in the middle of that process. With 40 years of experience, Orgadata is ideally placed to guide companies in their digital transformation. "We do that with love and pleasure," Thyssen says in conclusion. He himself comes from the world of mechanical engineering. His love of technology and digitalization entered into a "marriage" at Orgadata. "By now I have had my heart set on window and facade construction for more than 20 years and am as much of a 'trade idiot' as my colleagues," he concludes.
