"The PROTECT program includes three main product lines," says Edwin van Houten, Product Sales Manager Benelux Business Unit DOOR on behalf of MACO. "For example, we have the Basic-Line with traditional hook-locks, the Premium-Line with pin-hook system and the Excellent-Line equipped with a three-lock system. There is also a modular solution for tall doors. Thanks to the equipment including hooks, pin hooks and latch hooks, the multi-point locking systems are not only all burglar-resistant, they also stand for perfect thermal and sound insulation and great operating comfort."

With PROTECT, which can be used within both residential and commercial construction, processors and end users are at their beck and call. "The system can be used left and right and is suitable for wooden, plastic and, from the third quarter of 2021, also aluminum doors," Van Houten outlines the benefits for the door and frame manufacturer. 

"Furthermore, the desired security levels are easily achieved and the multi-point interlocks have easy handling. The modular nature of the system also minimizes inventory."

The benefits for the end user are as numerous as they are welcome. In addition to its attractive design, PROTECT offers a feeling of security, ultimate comfort, many years of user enjoyment and ditto convenience. "The security components meet the requirements of resistance class SKG2 and SKG3," said Van Houten. "In addition, the locks can be operated with a key or, in the case of the Excellent-Line, via a motor lock that can even be controlled remotely with a special app. An extra piece of convenience, with which we prove that we are closely following developments in the field of smart home."
