Intratone specializes in access control and intercom systems, which are continuously developed based on new insights and wishes from the market. A good example of this is Vendône, a new intercom system in which current needs in technology, management and appearance come together perfectly.
Intratone stands for intercom systems with real-time updates that can be easily managed remotely. "With our solutions, convenience, security and reliability go hand in hand," says Marketing Manager Benelux Edwin van Reijsen.
"The intercom systems are also easy to install and require little to no maintenance. In combination with European production, long service life and optimal use of the cell phone network, we know how to convince building owners, building managers and residents alike. Now and towards the future. When innovating, developing and improving our access control and intercom systems, we always take a critical look at what the market wants and needs. What wishes are there in terms of technology, management and appearance? But also: are living needs changing? And what does this mean for our access control and intercom systems? What challenges are there?"
Anno 2022, housing associations, owners' associations, building managers and residents want to be able to personalize their intercom systems even more than before, Van Reijsen knows. "For example, by including a logo or property label in the LCD display. But also by making the display even more part of the aesthetics of the building. This is where we respond with a fully customizable front on which, in addition to a wide range of colors, a logo and/or photo of your choice can be projected."
An important market demand is also for a system that not only allows you to speak, listen and be seen, but also has a Proximity reader so that convenience, security and simple key management can be taken to the highest level.
level.
"Keys are the most precarious part of access control," Van Reijsen said. "After all, it is common for residents to lose keys, leaving the front door vulnerable. And broken keys and cylinders are also commonplace. To unburden managers in this area as well and save time and costs, our latest intercom solution uses a Proximity badge that can be issued, revoked and authorized easily, remotely and via the secure Intratone management portal on the desktop, tablet or smartphone. This allows administrators and residents to remain fully in control. In case of relocations, administrators no longer need to come on site for their change management. If desired, (temporary) access can also be granted to home care workers, for example. But also to installers, painters and other maintenance parties, who come to perform their work at a predetermined time. A welcome feature in the context of working from home is that from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., for example, the company name can be displayed, while from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. the family name is visible."
Distinctive about Intratone's systems is the use of the cell phone network. Van Reijsen: "We place a highly resistant intercom system with SIM card on the facade, which is connected to the electronic locking system of the entrance door. As a result, users are no longer dependent on wiring or local wireless Wi-Fi or Bluetooth networks. The GSM network guarantees a high-quality, stable and wireless connection from the intercom to the smartphone and vice versa. Global coverage allows residents - even when they are not at home - to speak clearly to their visitor(s) and/or open the door for the parcel delivery person. Via the Intratone App, video can also be linked to the system if desired. Communication via a landline is also possible. So a separate indoor station is no longer necessary."
Intratone is a brand of the publicly traded Cogelec and has its origins in France. Not surprisingly, the name of the latest intercom subtly refers to the French region of Vendée, where Intratone's headquarters and factory are still located.
"Vendône was introduced in mid-May at our partner event, where knowledge was shared and together we looked at the future of access control and intercom systems," Van Reijsen said. "The intercom system will also be available to order through these partners from now on. Because Vendône is available in both flush-mounted and surface-mounted versions, a suitable solution is offered for every building and every situation."
