As the latest product from the FSB house, model 1289 impresses with its purist, contemporary design and perfect manufacturing quality. The design by designers Markus Michalski and Michael Schmidt is op-tically sober and at the same time haptically surprising. The punch line of the well thought-out design is revealed in its use. The design meets the high aesthetic demands of the customers of the premium berry manufacturer from Brakel.

Starting point for the development of product family FSB 1289 was the desire to create a contemporary design that can be combined with the existing product portfolio through formal continuity yet surprises with special touches. "We wanted to develop a design that does not impose itself but is nonetheless peppered with many details that only become visible at second glance or when one starts using them," explains designer Markus Michalski. Michael Schmidt ties in with this and points to the authentically lived-in sustainability at FSB: "An important aspect in the development of the form was also that it should be as uncomplicated and efficient as possible. If the processes are well thought through, one needs fewer raw materials and resources."

From the very first glance, the door handle enchants us with its slim, recessed shape. When gripping it, the curve of the handle caresses the inside of the hand in a pleasant way and makes ergonomic use possible. From a form standpoint, Michalski and Schmidt's design appeals with its sober but innovative design. "Our intention was to break through the strict lines," said Markus Mi-chalski. "Not a single line in our design runs straight or is the result of construction. There is no question of classic radii. We have always worked with arcs. Arcs build tensions; lines are static in that regard."
Central to all FSB product families - across all applications - is not only high quality manufacture but also formal continuity at all times. The latest FSB 1289 design, for instance, is also available as a classic model for standard and profile doors. Variants for escape doors, a window handle, a lifting/sliding door handle, a cross handle, reduced roseless handles for doors and windows, a glass door fitting and a door handle with locking function round off the product range.
The new collection harmonizes particularly well with recessed basins (FSB 42 4260 - 42 4265) and door handles (FSB 66 6550 - 66 6552), the design of which is picked up harmoniously in the new products. Not least, the new model also impresses as an application in sa-nitary areas: products from the ErgoSystem® A100 barrier-free collection fit in ideally with the new arrivals in terms of color and shape. Once again, FSB is thus making uniform equipment possible in all domains of application.
The FSB 1289 product family is available in the finishes aluminum polished natural color anodized (0105) and aluminum sandblasted black anodized (0810). Additional finishes are also available upon request.
