These hinges can be easily adjusted in three directions
When developing innovative building products, it is important to listen to both the consumer and the processor. Thus Roto window and door technology designed the very latest Roto Solid B roller hinges in consultation with door manufacturers to ensure that they made production as cost-effective as possible and also offered the right benefits for the end user. These hinges with a clean, minimalist look are available in a two- and three-piece model, each with a diameter of 18 or 22 mm, to be screwed into the sash overlap or rebate. They are also easy to install and adjust.
Roto Window and Door Technology (FTT) is today one of the leading manufacturers of window and door hardware. The product range includes tilt, turn and tilt-turn systems and outward opening systems for windows and hinges and locks for doors, as well as electronic components, sliding systems, sills, handles, seals and glazing accessories. Innovation is in the DNA. Witness to this are the Roto Solid B roller hinges for door manufacturers who use PVC profiles or make wooden doors with standard Eurogroove hardware.
Especially the clean, minimalist look catches the eye. Moreover, the design of the internal mechanism ensures that there is no axis shift between frame and sash elements. Whatever the application, the hinges look uniform and aesthetic.
"Roto Solid B stands for a complete range with different variants. For example, there are two- and three-piece models with a height of 143 mm and 188 mm respectively, both available with a diameter of 18 mm and 22 mm. Within these sizes, we also offer two versions, specifically hinges that are screwed either into the sash overlap (OS) or into the rebate (RS). The latter version fits into the Eurogroove sash side. By the way, those who want to improve stability on profiles without steel reinforcement can screw an additional fastening screw into the sash here," explains Head of Customers and Markets Benelux Gerry Claassens.
"Depending on the model, these universal (left/right) hinges are suitable for sashes weighing 80, 120 or 160 kg. They are available in five standard colors - black, white, gray-brown, stainless steel and, of course, silver - and on request in other colors as well."
When developing these roller hinges, simplicity of assembly and adjustment was also considered. Installation teams can assemble the Roto Solid B hinges very easily and quickly. With the special drilling jig, all fixing holes can be made precisely. Frame and sash do not have to be moved. "Once the door is mounted, the hinges can be adjusted in three directions without having to unlock the door. Adjustment in height (+4/-2 mm) is done by sliding an Allen key into the base of the frame component. For lateral - (+/- 3 mm) and pressure adjustment (+/- 1.5 mm), one loosens the two clamping screws, makes the adjustment and tightens the screws again," Claassens adds.
"Meanwhile, Roto Solid B successfully underwent tests in areas such as security (SKG**), corrosion (class 5) and durability (200,000 cycles). The different versions were also integrated into Roto City, the tool in the cloud, which is used around the world by employees of the manufacturer and partners during talks with customers. So they can clearly explain, how the products can be used on windows and doors in all possible applications and what the benefits are for the end user."
