Increased weight capacity in new hinges

Fapim, the Italian manufacturer and world leader in the high-quality production of solutions and accessories in aluminum for the metal facade industry, 100% made in Italy, has been offering ideal solutions for doors, windows and emergency exits since 1974. Among its best-known products are two systems designed for the turn-tilt world, and may be counted among the best performing in the market.

The Galicube system is optimized with the 150 version, characterized by an increased weight capacity of up to 150 kg in one product. It provides a 3D adjustment capability, horizontally, in tightening and in height, more extensive and effective for large window openings. Compared to the current range, only the hinges and scissors change, while the basic set and cutting of the string slats remain unchanged. The new hinges remain extruded and therefore non-oxidizable. In addition, they retain the dimensionality and aesthetics of the previous ones. An additional novelty: the zamak counter plate of the bottom hinge for a more precise and stronger fastening.

Other notable features of the 150 version are the fixation of the upper hinge pin with metric grain, and the pin made of galvanized steel with increased strength. Matching hinges that have the same aesthetics, capacity and adjustability, without requiring a supplementary parts kit. All hinges are available for raised and flush profiles.

Magicube is a solution from FAPIM for openings with concealed hinges, universal and applicable to any profile with eurogroove, whether for the application turn-tilt, tilt-turn or single-opening. It is the only solution on the market that allows the complete opening of the window over 180 degrees and at the same time guarantees a load capacity of 180 kg, this without opening restrictors or additional hardware kit.  

The system has been certified by the German RAL Institute, this in accordance with the requirements of the RAL-GZ 607/3:2009 regulations, after successfully passing tests in the Velbert PIV laboratory in Germany, carried out in accordance with European standards EN 13126. -8 and EN 1191.

Simple and efficient technical measures reduce the assembly time of the mechanism. Assembly of the various hardware components is simple and intuitive, without the need to drill holes, use templates or take measurements.
