In the Netherlands, 75% of existing homes are not yet properly insulated. By replacing a door with a thickness of 38mm with a door of 54mm, the insulation increases enormously. With a short film, GND shows how easy it is to install a 54mm door in an existing frame and what the advantages are. It not only ensures a pleasant and comfortable home, but also a lower energy bill and CO2 reduction. In addition, this door is equipped with burglar-resistant hinges and locks, greatly improving security.
When insulating the facade, well-insulating doors and door-frame combinations play an important role. For new construction, the 54 mm door has been the standard for 20 years. In existing homes, technically obsolete and poorly insulating 38 mm doors are often replaced by new, equally poorly insulating 38 mm doors. While applying a thicker, high-quality insulating 54 mm door with insulating glazing and the right seals gives a much better result.
