Fapim, market leader in the development and production of hardware for aluminum windows and doors from Altropassio (Lucca), Italy, never stands still in its development and now introduces with Magicube an innovative solution for windows with concealed hinges.

Fapim MAGICUBE is a revolution in the field of concealed window hardware. This pivot and tilt-for-turn hardware, like the other solutions from the Italian specialist in high quality window hardware, is ideal for all aluminum systems with a eurogroove. In a 180° open position, a load of 180 kg is possible, and this without additional accessories to be installed. MAGICUBE was certified by the German RAL Institute according to the requirements of the standard RAL-GZ 607/3:2009 after passing tests performed in a laboratory in Velbert (Germany) according to European standards EN13126-8 and EN 1191.

Patented design

The use of high-quality material combined with advanced construction techniques and rigorous testing guarantees unprecedented rigidity. Through the patented solution of kinematic movement of hinges without slotted holes, Fapim has succeeded in constructing all pivot points at fixed positions. The great advantage of this is minimal play during assembly and adjustment of the hardware as well as the reduction of wear due to the absence of slotted holes. Furthermore, this also ensures an extremely compact and strong mechanism that can bear heavy loads.

And there is more, because the special construction of the top and bottom hinge on the end provides additional locking when closed, promotes wind and water tightness and eliminates the possibility of wind noise. The bottom hinge is equipped with a security system to ensure that the window cannot be lifted out. The concept of the MAGICUBE also allows windows to be easily installed in all conditions, even in places with little room to move or in buildings with curtain walls or shutter boxes.

The geometric design of the system ensures that the space between the edge of the sash and the frame always remains the same, preventing fingers from getting pinched. In most cases, the use of supplementary scissors can also be avoided, resulting in significant time and cost savings during assembly.

Easy installation

The easy assembly of the various hardware parts in the workshop is an additional advantage. Simple but above all efficient technical solutions reduce assembly time. The assembly of the hardware parts is easy and intuitive, without drilling holes or using templates. Installation of the sashes can also be carried out simply and quickly by one person, even for large and heavy sashes. MAGICUBE hardware is characterized by its 3D micrometric adjustment capabilities.

Besides the classic height and width adjustments, there is also an adjustment in pressure on the hinge at the top and bottom. With this patented system, only the screws provided need to be turned.
