'A more industrial thought is emerging!'

"The vibe is good!" Jurgen Rensen, director/owner of Venster Techniek is already a very satisfied man on the third day of the BouwBeurs.

"I will honestly say that I am a bit surprised about that because you do see some wavering sentiment in the country. People are asking themselves somewhat desperately: what will 2019 bring us? And, you see - if you follow the economic news - indeed some reports of declining growth. Moreover, prices in the market are under pressure: at least, I see a very upward trend. That's not favorable. And, I also hear from customers that some projects are being pushed forward because there are hardly any staff available."

Jurgen says there is a lot of interest in the wooden doors in plastic frames. "We can show the door concept very well here in Utrecht at the BouwBeurs," he says. "Also, there is a lot of demand for pre-fab. And that makes sense. The more pre-fab, the more added value we can deliver. We can adapt more to our customers' production processes. A more industrial mindset is emerging. I really see that as the big change or the big trend of this year. In the 16 years I've been in the business, I haven't seen that turnaround before."

For the year 2019, ambitions are grand. "We are going to expand our premises, we are increasing storage and production capacity that will allow us to maintain our delivery times. And, we will go up a notch with our automation. We will focus even more on interfacing with our customers' work preparation packages. Yes, actually, we have the ambition to integrate more into our customers' systems."
