Vertical aluminum cladding, looking sleek and modern

Vertical aluminum cladding that looks sleek and modern

Renson's vertical aluminum cladding "Linarte" not only looks sleek and modern. Its durable and maintenance-friendly character also convinces many building owners. The possibilities with shapes and colors are also endless and the assembly goes smoothly.

What gives the austere black and white of this house that little extra cachet is the surprising combination of different vertical Linarte profiles. In any case, architect Nele Delva saw great value in this compared to rhythmic or equal profiling.

"Fortunately, the builder soon shared the same vision on that," she says of it. This is when the added value of Linarte cladding emerges. Individual profiles allow architects to give free rein to their creativity. The result in this case is a unique wild-cut combination of 'Even' and 'Block' profiles, the latter in both the 16mm and 30mm deep versions. This leads to a one-of-a-kind design anyway. With the sliding gate also clad in the same Linarte profiles, the overall appearance of the facade gets even more of a boost.

Careful measurement

According to Davy Ghekiere (Aluwood), who was responsible for the installation of Linarte on this facade, everything stands or falls with correct measurements on site: "This is what the technical draughtsman gets to work on and after a final check, the slats can go into production. For assembly, we first apply a layer of insulation, followed by a ventilating cloth and a wooden trellis. The profiles themselves are then invisibly attached with clips. Thanks to these clips, you never have to saw any profiles because you always end up neatly. A damaged profile can easily be replaced. Specific profiles are available for finishing on corners or at the height of windows and doors."

Unique combinations

The combination of individual block-shaped and rib-shaped Linarte profiles with varying depths gives this sleek facade a unique playful and dynamic character. That three types of profiles were used interchangeably here seems like an extra challenge, but that turned out to be not so bad. "Of course it requires some experience and craftsmanship, but the technical drawings help you well on your way," says Ghekiere. Integrating the LED lighting didn't take much effort either. "Insert modules, run cables through and done. The electrician then goes to work connecting them."
