Ventilation and sun blinds for Margaretha residential care complex

During the major new construction and renovation work on the Margaretha residential care complex in Kampen, the ventilation system was also taken in hand. Thanks to the integration of the CO₂-controlled TronicTwin 120 Cap, both ventilation and shading were combined in the same product.

The Margaretha nursing home, in the heart of the old town of Kampen, was completely renovated in several phases. Together with housing corporation deltaWonen, the IJsselheem residential care group went for a sustainable new construction and renovation in several phases. The Margaretha residential care complex houses 31 rental apartments, 19 spacious owner-occupied apartments and 61 care units. In short, a place to live for people with or without direct care needs.

Ventilation and shading for a healthy indoor environment

The indoor climate in a residential care complex is obviously of great importance. This is precisely why a lot of attention was paid to it during the renovation. A combination of both ventilation and shading are already two important elements that can contribute to a high level of livability.

Demand-driven ventilation

It was opted for natural ventilation based on CO₂- and humidity control to be applied, and that is precisely where Duco made its contribution to the story. Thanks to the integration of the CO₂-TronicTwin 120 Cap even combined ventilation and sun protection in one and the same product. In this version, the awning fabric is gemounted on a drop-down arm, which first drops down vertically, but then automatically drops out at a maximum 90° angle. In this way, solar heat does not get a chance, but still enough light enters for a pleasant feeling. Duco's project team followed the installation and placement closely, providing advice and assistance to the installers to ensure that the entire project went smoothly ... and the result is impressive!
