Two-leaf escape doors in public buildings must not only open and close comfortably, but must also meet the high requirements for safety, burglar protection and barrier freedom.
With the motorized countercases from WILKA, all prescribed requirements are met. The basis of the solution consists of the proven motor module 765M plus the mechanical anti-panic counter cabinet 7665. These two components have been combined with each other to form the new motorized counter cabinet. Here, both systems function as one functional unit. Thanks to these two separate and assembly-friendly components, a long profile cut-out is not necessary. Thus the stability of door profiles is fully maintained with this construction. At the same time, the lower locking bar in the upright leaf remains as a stabilizing element.
The motorized counter unit optionally operates single- or double-leaf doors where only the fixed leaf requires a power supply. Self-locking WILKA Series 7000 escape door locks as well as conventional Series 6000 escape door locks can be perfectly integrated into this door automation system. The e-openers commonly used with other solutions in the counter housing or in the lintel are not necessary. Instead of spring-loaded snap locks in the stanchion and aisle wing, the system also works particularly reliably with switch or snap locks.

During the actual unlocking process, the upper and lower locking bars are retracted. Day and deadbolt are released simultaneously. This new solution even opens an optional, additional latch in the aisle wing upwards. Both door leaves are fully unlocked in this way and an additional motor lock in the aisle wing is therefore not necessary. An important advantage is that the function unit responds extremely quickly. Barely one second is required for the unlocking of the door leaf.
Only the retraction of the locking rods requires a power supply. After that, the built-in switch lock takes over the locking of the locking rods. Of course, the WILKA designers also took into account a possible power failure in their design. If this situation occurs, mechanical components take over the door element's locking process. These components ensure that the door leaves return to the closed position. This innovative solution eliminates the need for a backup battery.
For daily large flows of people, there is a convenient function for permanent opening. Optionally, the booth wing can remain closed and only the corridor wing can be opened. Via various interfaces - both analog and digital - the WILKA solution can be conveniently integrated into an existing building management system.
The motorized countercabinet is certified in accordance with EN 179, EN 1125 and EN 12209. WILKA's motorized counter cabinet ensures that the installed double-leaf door elements perform their function at all times and large flows of people are safely guided through the passageway.
