The Pulse of Amsterdam, a multifunctional new construction project on the Zuidas, proves that comfortable city living is possible. The Pulse of Amsterdam is a progressive building project that brings together living, working and recreation in one dynamic complex. The design, by MVSA Architects, includes two towers - an 85-meter residential tower and a 90-meter hotel tower - with a vibrant plinth below filled with hospitality, office and cultural facilities. A large interior garden and roof terraces enhance the green and sustainable character of the building. Thanks to innovative techniques, such as energy generation with solar panels and rainwater harvesting, The Pulse meets the highest sustainability standards.
A healthy indoor environment starts with adequate ventilation, but how do you provide fresh air in an environment with high ambient noise? The residential tower of The Pulse is close to the A10, a location with high noise levels. Therefore, the Duco Acoustic Panel 300 was chosen: a sound-absorbing wall grille that ensures optimal airflow with a noise reduction of up to 17 dB. This keeps homes quiet and healthy, without residents having to choose between ventilation and quietness.
To shorten construction time and optimize installation, Duco Acoustic Panel 300 diffusers have already been integrated into wood frame construction (HSB) elements at Vianen Kozijnen. These complete façade modules were then brought to the construction site as ready-made elements and assembled immediately. This ensured efficient and precise installation.
With The Pulse of Amsterdam, the Zuidas shows what sustainable and comfortable urban living can look like. Thanks to the combination of acoustic ventilation and cleverly designed facades, residents enjoy the energy of the city, without interference from
urban noise.
