The MB-79N - The new window-door system from Aluprof on sale from January 2021

This is a modern solution for the implementation of architectural exterior elements requiring thermal and acoustic insulation. It is the successor to the extremely popular and widely used system MB-70, available from January 2021.*

An improvement in every way

The system MB-79N can be used to create a wide range of structures, including fixed, tilt-and-turn and sliding windows Single and double casement exterior doors and wall solutions with doors can also be used with this new system.

Construction and insulation parameters

The profiles of MB-79N have the following depths: 79 mm for the window sash and 70 mm for the window and door frame and door leaf. As with many other Aluprof systems, the construction allows the outside of the sash and frame to fit flush; in the case of doors, this effect can also be achieved on the inside. The shape of the profiles makes it possible to build slim and durable doors and frames with the aim of improving the built environment.

The system is designed to meet the new requirements of the Technical Conditions effective 01-01-2021, namely a Uw for windows of up to 0.9 W/(m²K), and for exterior doors: UD up to 1.3 W/(m²K). The profiles are equipped with state-of-the-art thermal spacers and allow the production of structures with very good thermal insulation. For these profiles, the heat transfer coefficient U_f values from 0.83 W/(m²K).

Variants and compatibility

The system is available in three construction variants that differ in terms of insulation level. The MB-79N E version is the most economical solution with a single-component central seal, MB-79N ST is a variant with a two-component seal, and the MB-79N SI (with the best thermal insulation) is based on profiles equipped with special insulating inserts in the zone of the hot spacers, optimizing the thermal parameters, and a central two-component seal. Moreover, the solution is compatible with the systems known and appreciated by customers MB-86 and MB-104 Passive. This allows the use of common accessories and seals and application of the most popular multi-point hardware from renowned companies together with the most modern AluPilot hardware available in Poland only from ALUPROF SA. Thanks to the minimization of the number of elements and simplified assembly, this system can shorten the window production process by about 10 minutes. This can result in real savings of several percent.

System compatibility also means that during window production with the MB-79N system, the same tools can be used as for MB-86.

Due to the wide range of profiles, especially in the area of frames and corner joints, MB-79N, as well as MB-86, can be used to make all kinds of constructions that are precisely tailored to the requirements of customers and principles of architectural projects.
