Save plastics introduces a completely self-sufficient and movable home, produced with local waste plastic. The save home is the first house that combines the four elements of "good green living": comfort & safety, self-sufficiency, mobility and local circular production.
The save home is a moveable home that sacrifices nothing in terms of luxury and comfort. The house consists of separate units that can be connected as desired. Thanks in part to smart placement, good insulation, solar collectors and the latest technologies, the home is self-sufficient. Wherever possible, 100% uses recycled plastic. For example, the façade is clad entirely in plastic as is the outdoor terrace. Other materials used are as sustainable as possible.
Aluminum was chosen for the window frames and sliding doors. Since this material is recycled and thus fits perfectly in this situation.
Circular: In construction and finishing, 100% recycled plastic was used as much as possible; other materials used are almost all circular.
Self-sufficient: The latest technologies, good insulation, solar collectors and placing the home "on the sun," makes self-sufficient living possible.
Modular: The house is modular, the individual units can be arranged and connected as desired.
Moveable: The individual units can be moved using a flatbed trailer.
Aluprof had an advisory role towards the architect on this project. The highly insulated sliding doors (MB77HS) and window system MB86 contribute to the sustainability package required for this concept.
