New line of low-relief sills: lighter, stronger and easier to work with

Good can always be better. With this in mind, Holonite, a producer and distributor of composite facing and finishing elements since 1969, introduces the updated line Kumax^® low-relief sills for plastic window frames. A novelty that, compared to previous Kumax^®-ranges is even lighter and stronger and therefore easier to process within the construction and frame industry. Manager of sales Patrick Zevenbergen tells more about the upcoming introduction on behalf of Holonite. 

Actually, the upcoming launch of the revamped line is the birth of the third generation of Kumax^® low-relief sills. For whereas this sill type originally consisted entirely of composite stone and later of a lightweight composite mixture, with this innovation Holonite presents a hollow fiberglass-reinforced variant that is considerably lighter, stronger and easier to process than its predecessors. "In addition, this new line, which will eventually replace the existing range, is distinguished by an improved insulation value and is supplied at a very competitive price," Zevenbergen said on behalf of the company, which operates out of Tholen and serves both the new construction and custom renovation markets. "Holonite maintains short delivery times, from 5 to a maximum of 9 working days. In addition, service is a high priority for us." 

Many benefits

Like previous versions, the all-new Kumax^®-variant is a prefabricated sill concept for plastic window frames that fits, under both interior and exterior doors. "Available for all known profile houses, this line also stands for very high breaking strength and optimum scratch resistance," Zevenbergen lists its advantages. "In addition, the neutral always accurately matches the position of the frame style. It's a plus that not only results in a perfect connection to the mullion frame, it also makes the whole thing look very sleek."

Appropriate solution

Kumax's waterproof, low-maintenance and cold-bridge-breaking low-relief sills^® are available as standard in the color anthracite. On request, the Kumax^® be manufactured in other colors. "Furthermore, our sill systems, like our window sills, window sills and wall coverings manufactured from composite stone, comply in detail with the regulations of the Building Decree, DUBO construction and the Building Materials Decree," explains Zevenbergen at the end of his account. "This makes it an additional guarantee of quality."
