The Roof of the Year was created to celebrate and showcase quality in both the flat and pitched roof industry. The award is given to the roof that scores the highest overall in various assessment areas. The assessment areas are: aesthetic quality, innovation, functional quality, mutual cooperation, safe working and sustainability.
On Friday evening, March 22, this award was presented for the third time. 15 projects competed for first place. The jury, composed of the editorial board of trade journal Roofs, judged the projects in terms of aesthetics, technical execution, mutual cooperation, safe working and sustainability.
We are therefore proud that the Kurhaus in Scheveningen was awarded the "Roof of the Year 2018" prize in the flat roof category. For this iconic project, roofing company BOKO and consultancy firm Dakbestek chose the Copper Art. Curious? Then read here the full case study.
