KUFA Annual Review 2018

Presentation of first Preferred Supplier Award

Cees van Essen, director at Baarn-based Kruba, was the first company to receive Kufa Raamsystemen' Preferred Supplier Award in January 2018. Cees had been "lured" to Kufa's headquarters in IJmuiden under false pretences ("We would like to discuss a few things with you"), but that's where the cat popped out of the bag: from the hands of Henk Weber of Kufa, the Award and accompanying certificate were handed over.

"True, we have been doing business with each other for years," Weber said in January. "But sometimes there is a moment when you have to appreciate each other extra - for the general public. Kruba has helped us on several occasions very effectively in the development of our products, such as the S9000.nl which will be an important topic for us for the next 7 to 8 years."

Cees van Essen's reaction? "I didn't see this coming at all. But of course I am extremely happy about it."

Frame system S9000.NL is the ideal platform for the Dutch market

The Dutch window frame market is in an unprecedented state of flux. Partly due to the trend that sustainability now seems to have really been adopted simply because the need for it has also increased, new products or variants of existing window frame products are finding their way onto the market remarkably well.

One of these is the new window frame system S9000.NL, which is even described by window manufacturer KUFA Raamsystemen in IJmuiden as the "ideal platform" for the Dutch market. The so-called S9000.NL series meets the ever-increasing requirements in the area of energy saving (i.e. sustainability!). In the spring of 2018, Kufa announces that an unprecedented number of requests for the S9000.NL are coming in and that the reactions are purely positive, both from the business and private markets. The main advantages are the flexible middle seals, the better insulation value and the possibility of applying triple glazing, which further increases the insulation value. "A home with 20m² of glass can thus save over 200 euros per year."

KUFA notes that many of its own partners are already using wood grain films, both with single HVL and double HVL. The success is partly due to the wide range of colors that can be used for plastic window frames. Acrylcolor should not go unmentioned either. "By means of coextrusion, the PVC base profiles and the colored acrylic glass are inseparably joined together in one operation; a silk-matt colored profile surface is created that is problem-free and resistant to all kinds of weather influences." At KUFA Window Systems, the following color options are available: single-sided, double-sided and in BI-color. It is also possible to apply the films to lift and imitation sliding windows."

Looking ahead to 2019: more leads for our partners

Henk and Didier of KUFA Window Systems are already very much looking forward to 2019. The Bouwbeurs in Utrecht, at the beginning of February.

"We are of course capitalizing on the three themes of the fair: 'The energy-efficient home', 'innovation' and 'automation'. For example, we will once again be highlighting our 9000.NL series of window frames, the two color films and, of course, our platform on which our partners can configure the window frames completely according to their wishes. Especially on the latter we are unprecedentedly proud; we can show more than ever that we are able to make complex things simple. Our Internet position will thus become stronger. Moreover, the platform will be a unique lead generator for our partners."
