Koen Kersten takes over from father

Since August 2017, Kegro Deuren has been back in the hands of the Kersten family and, after many years of losses, has been returning to profit since 2018. Sales growth of 70% has been achieved with healthy profitability.

Effective Nov. 15, 2021, Jan Kersten, founder and owner of Kegro Deuren, will hand over the baton to his son, Koen Kersten.

Koen (36 years old) has now been active within Kegro Deuren for 3 years and has been responsible for the complete hanging organization since its inception. Meanwhile Koen is also active for purchasing and logistics and is involved in all new technical investments. After his studies Koen gained extensive experience at a high-tech company in Eindhoven, Caterpillar in Den-Bosch and the hardwood business in Indonesia and the Netherlands. As of November 15, Koen will be ultimately responsible for the entire Kegro organization.

Jan Kersten (68 years old) will then step back and will focus on relationship management and (new) developments.

A substantial expansion is currently being realized at the Groesbeek production site. There is now a new wood storage facility and the construction of a new showroom, development/test room, offices for the assembly department and a completely new factory for automated production of the flat carcase doors that are currently still being produced at the location in Raalte will start soon. Full of confidence, we look to the future!
