After approval, production is initiated," states case manager Maurice Vanderbist. "Although Comaglio has been in existence for more than 40 years, it is certainly with the times. Indeed, the management has always continued to invest in the latest machines and techniques. Production has also been extensively automated and robotized. Comaglio has been at the forefront of traditional drop thresholds for many years, but certainly also with its automatic drop thresholds with double seal control. Such lintels are ideal in applications with irregular or sloping floors. The Italian specialist also holds several patents, including on its ingenious system of removing the seal by lowering it horizontally to the bottom, with uniform pressure distribution along the entire length of the sealing profile.

The Italian manufacturer invests not only in people and machines, but also continuously in the development of new, innovative solutions and the optimization of existing products. The wide range can be divided into six series - Pressure, Basic, Special, No Sound, Comax and Universal - accounting for a 104-page catalog. For wooden doors, Comaglio offers all possible solutions from 10 x 18 mm to 20 x 30 mm with various mounting options. Also for PVC doors, the user can choose from about 20 models with or without pre-assembled fixing screws. Among the systems for aluminum doors, the AE UNCINO and the AE/16 with special silicone seal stand out in particular. These thresholds have a fire resistance of one hour and a high acoustic resistance.

"Comaglio is also particularly passionate about inventing, designing and producing new products and techniques. For example, they developed lintels for wooden, plastic and aluminum doors, which have a standard one-hour fire and smoke resistance as well as sound attenuation to more than 54 dB," concludes Maurice Vanderbist. "At the Milan fair, they recently presented a new softcloser, which will be available from 2020. And at Polyclose early next year, the first systems with the patented 'sliding' system will be on display. This innovation ensures that the sash, which is mounted on sliding doors, carefully seals the sash, without weather bumping."
