Fuhr Experience Center virtual presence at Polyclose

When the doors of the new Experience Center were opened in March 2019, success could not be far off. Fuhr Benelux had set a goal of receiving visitors twice a week, however, with over 160 visitors now, that goal has already been exceeded. Ludo Meeuwsen, director at Fuhr Benelux, is very pleased.

"It has become a real world of experience for anyone who wants to learn more about operation, access technology and comfort solutions for doors," says Meeuwsen. From architect to dealer, everyone is welcome. "Setting up a training room also proved to be a good move, as we can demonstrate everything in practice."

Three main groups to be distinguished

Those who walk into the Fuhr Experience Center there distinguish three main groups. Meeuwsen lists, "These are motorized locks, automatic locks and panic locks. We then also provide training on these main groups."

Fuhr Benelux is working hard to increase brand awareness among end users. "We do this through social media and our website. With clear videos we show a piece of experience around access control, of course with the aim of creating demand from the end user. Of course, we only sell through our resale channels, but it's nice when consumers themselves find their way to our brand. That also benefits the reseller."

The Next Level

"At Polyclose 2020, the exhibition motto is: Fuhr - The Next Level. With this we want to show that we are frontrunners in the development of electronic and mechanical door closing systems. We will therefore be at the booth with two live working doors. First, a door equipped with the new automatic multi-point locking system, the Autosafe 835, mounted in a PVC door. Also, our existing Multitronic motor lock will be demonstrated in an aluminum door, combined with the new Smart Connect Door -not to be confused with the Easy variant. The new Smart Connect Door features a camera unit integrated into the door," said Meeuwsen.

The Experience Center is also going to Polyclose, in the form of an interactive 3D presentation of the entire showroom. "That can be viewed on a normal screen, but those who want to experience a nice interactive 'walkthrough' can do so with our VR glasses. We are present at Polyclose for our customers and prospects, obviously in a nice informal setting. It's all about communication, which you can do with us while enjoying a snack and a drink. We will therefore have delicious Belgian beer and our own Barista with us."
