Everyone loves natural daylight and fresh outdoor air. It creates a good mood and is essential for getting through the day in a balanced way and avoiding fatigue. People want to live outside more and more, preferably all year round. Skylux ensures sufficient daylight in buildings with its skylights and skylights, but also produces an extensive portfolio of aluminum profiles for verandas and terrace coverings, such as the Climalux and Climacrown.
The history of Skylux dates back to 1954, when Albert Glorieux started a wholesale glass and mirror business. In the 1970s, the company started developing and manufacturing its now famous skylights. Today, grandson Jean is in charge of this market leader and the range has been significantly expanded.

The Climacrown combines the aluminum profiles of the Climalux with a modular cornice.
"Our mission is to bring as much daylight into people's lives as possible," says sales manager Jan Desmet. "In addition to skylights and skylights, gutters and PVC curbs, we also produce high-quality aluminum profiles. With these you can quickly build a simple terrace roof or a thermally broken roof suitable for a veranda."
With a patio cover, you can enjoy the outdoors all year round. After all, a barbecue or party will not be ruined if it suddenly starts to rain or if it gets a bit colder in the evening. With Climalux the consumer chooses a budget-friendly self-supporting aluminum profile system with a gutter and wall profile in one piece, available in a wide range of different colors.

Climaglide is a customized profile system for sliding glass elements
with single glazing. It provides protection from wind and rain, adding significant value to the canopy. (Glass not supplied by Skylux)
This patio canopy with a projection of up to 4.5 meters is available from stock in standard sizes, but can also be custom produced. "However, if users prefer the sleek look of a flat roof but still want the benefits of a sloping surface for water drainage, then our Climacrown is an ideal solution," adds Desmet. "This canopy combines the profiles of the Climalux with a modular cornice. The height of this frame depends on the depth of the roof and is built up in 75-centimeter increments. Because of the high-quality finish, no screws are visible anywhere on the outside."
Skylux also invested in the development of elements, which further optimize user comfort. For example, those who want to enjoy the Climalux and Climacrown patio covers for even longer can close them completely with sliding glass elements and equip them with LED lighting.

The lighting profile Climaled, which is mounted discreetly under the canopy supports, is equipped with dimmable LED spots. With the included remote control, the user can always create the desired lighting atmosphere.
"Climaglide is a custom-made profile system for single-glazed sliding glass elements. It provides protection from wind and rain, which adds significant value to the canopy. The sliding elements can be slid open to one or two sides, creating a large free opening. However, the user can also opt for a take-away system, where each glass panel can be moved separately from the rest," explains the sales manager. "The lighting profile Climaled, which is mounted discreetly under the canopy supports, is equipped with dimmable LED spots. With the included remote control, the user can always create the desired lighting atmosphere: from moodily soft to functionally bright. The pre-wired profile is very easy and quick to install and provides ideal lighting at any time."
So with a patio canopy from Skylux, you can fully enjoy the outdoor feeling all year round.
