Cracked slats, no grip with the screwdriver or an inaccurate finish are often annoying side effects when installing glass slats on window frames or baseboards on a wood floor.
The HECO-TOPIX glazing batten screw is specially designed for mounting narrow slats.
This is why HECO-Schrauben, the German screw specialist, has developed the HECO-TOPIX glazing strip and floor screw especially for fastening narrow profile wood and baseboards. Thanks to the small lens head and patented tip, the screw can be installed quickly and precisely, without pre-drilling.
The HECO-TOPIX glass lath screw is designed for thin and narrow laths that offer little space for screwing in a screw. The screw has a special point, which in addition to a precise start, allows the screw to be screwed in without pre-drilling. In addition, it reduces splitting of the wood, allowing the user to screw in the screw at the edge. The rapid increase in thread pitch allows the screw to be screwed in quickly and the screw-in torque is only small. The small bilge head provides an attractive finish and, thanks to the milling ribs under the head, the screw sinks into the wood without splintering. Because the glazing batten screw has a T-drive, the user has plenty of grip while screwing in the screw and it takes little effort to fasten the screw. The HECO-TOPIX glazing batten screw is available in the dimensions 3.5 x 30-60 mm, (blue zinc plated) and 3.5 x 30-40 mm, (yellow zinc plated). For use in a damp environment or outdoors, the stainless steel version A2 3.5 mm x 40 mm.
