In today's urban environments, silence is a scarce commodity. Daily traffic, public transport, neighborly noise, etc. mean that residents are increasingly exposed to constant noise stimuli. The consequences can be felt: sleep deprivation, concentration problems, stress and a decrease in general well-being. At the same time, the need for healthy indoor air is growing, so ventilation remains essential.
Acoustic ventilation is one of the biggest challenges today for architects, developers and building owners. The balance between sufficient ventilation and sound comfort is delicate: too little ventilation leads to unhealthy indoor air, too many openings let in disturbing city noise. Especially in densely built-up areas, finding that balance is crucial to ensuring residents comfort and quiet.

With the Duco Acoustic Panel (DAP), DUCO has long positioned itself as a pioneer in sound attenuating ventilation. The combination of optimal air supply with impressive sound attenuation makes the DAP a fixture in residential and commercial construction. Thanks to its clever construction and high-quality materials, disruptive ambient noise is greatly reduced without sacrificing air quality or aesthetics.
To respond even better to the diversity of today's construction projects, DUCO is expanding the existing Duco Acoustic Panel range (DAP 150 and DAP 300) with two new models: the Duco Acoustic Panel 250 and the Duco Acoustic Panel 500HP.
This expansion refines the step between the existing models and offers even more flexibility for a variety of acoustical and architectural needs. Thanks to the new models, the acoustic range now matches seamlessly, with sound attenuation ranging from 11 to 21 dB depending on configuration. At the same time, air passage was further optimized, ensuring maximum efficiency and comfort for each model.
"With the DAP 250 and DAP 500HP, we reinforce our mission to create healthy, quiet indoor climates, even in the noisiest urban environments,” said Edwin Pelkman (Technical Commercial Advisor) at DUCO. “We want to give architects and building owners in any project the freedom to ventilate acoustically without compromise."
