After 8 months of construction and tight preparation, the distribution center of Isero - hardware wholesaler for construction professionals and technical services - is now fully operational at Dirk Verheulweg 3 in Waddinxveen. The supporting services and staff functions were already allowed to move in at the beginning of July.
For many years, Isero had its distribution center on the Industrieweg in Woerden. Due to rapid growth, through a combination of acquisitions and branch openings, the building in Woerden became too small and Isero started looking for a new distribution center. Bert Bunschoten, Managing Director Isero: "The new business park logistics park A12 in Waddinxveen offers us sufficient space and is easily accessible."
The building has an area of approximately 11,000m² and meets the highest sustainability requirements, an important precondition for Isero. The entire building is heated with an air heat pump and solar panels will be installed on the roof. In addition, rainwater will be collected for the growers in the neighborhood.
Bert Bunschoten continues: "With this new distribution center we can integrate our logistics and realize our further growth ambitions. Furthermore, we can better support our new webshop and build one organization with all support services at one location."
