If maintenance instructions are followed, Platowood offers a 10-year warranty on the finish with a maintenance interval of 3 to 4 years.

Untreated Platowood Fraké ages to a silver-gray hue due to weathering. By means of the Natural Color Stain - a semi-transparent stain - Platowood provides its customers with the opportunity to retain the brown color of the wood. Natural Color
In addition to Natural Color Stain, color preservation is also possible using an environmentally friendly oil: Natural Color Oil. This oil, based on linseed, contains less pigment and therefore a lower amount of UV protection when applied correctly. As a result, the oil is degraded faster by weathering than the stain. As a result, the maintenance interval is shorter and there is no warranty on this finish.
