BMN introduces first technical wholesaler of hardware

Monday, February 4, BMN will open its first technical wholesaler at Handelsweg 14 in Den Helder: BMN IJzerwaren, right next to the existing branch of BMN Bouwmaterialen. Construction, industrial and offshore professionals will find everything there in the field of hinges and locks, hand and power tools, fasteners, adhesives and sealants, electricity and lighting, work clothing, personal protective equipment and climbing and scaffolding materials.

The Helders branch of BMN Bouwmaterialen already carries a small assortment of hardware. 'In the hardware branch the range will be greatly expanded with the best-known A brands and our own private label in new premises on more than four hundred square meters of retail space, with a spacious warehouse of three hundred square meters,' says Category Manager Max Nieboer. 'In addition, we offer a special key service. So at BMN IJzerwaren the professional has everything under one roof. And if he or she has no time to spare, our delivery service will deliver the products to the desired address.'

Convenience, presentation and service
The shelves are deliberately kept low and feature the manufacturers' logos. From the entrance, customers can easily and quickly find the right shelf. All purchases made by customers, whether building materials or hardware, are conveniently listed on a single invoice. The staff has a wealth of experience in the hardware business and comes in part from practical experience. Thus, service and expert advice at BMN Hardware are also of the highest quality.

Hardware store 2.0
Branch manager Frans Buskoop expects a lot from the new hardware formula. 'The management has shown a lot of confidence in us by wanting to open the first branch precisely in Den Helder. The prospects here are exceptionally good. Eighty percent of the customers of BMN Bouwmaterialen have indicated that they also want to buy their hardware from us. The location, about thirty meters from BMN Bouwmaterialen, is therefore a hit. We have created a fresh, recognizable formula that makes purchasing easy and accessible. With its spaciousness and modern look, the new store looks nothing like a traditional hardware store. We say: this is hardware store 2.0.'

Festive opening events
The first four months are marked by festive opening promotions. For example, customers can scratch their fingers for beautiful gifts for a month, there will be a prize month and gifts will be handed out based on turnover. BMN Hardware will close the promotional period with a month of double loyalty points for all its customers. The official and festive opening is scheduled for April 9.
