It is impossible to imagine our contemporary society without the term "sustainability. Buildtechnics cleverly plays on this with the distribution of sustainable building specialties. The range of this dynamic company from Sint-Truiden consists of products for airtight construction with correct connections and seals. Foppe's Element-Montage-System (EMS+SI) and the Isolatie-Flex CF thermal insulation threshold for windows and doors were recently added to the range.
The Element-Montage-System Foppe EMS+SI is a new innovative system for the airtight integration of windows and doors into the twin façade leaf or insulation shell. This solution allows to create a clean and good connection with the SI superinsulating system from a building physics point of view. The euronut groove around the system makes it possible to connect joint bands.
The pressure-resistant Isolation-Flex CF insulation threshold is oriented to the construction depth of the door or (sliding) window. The system is available with the profile contours of recognized profile systems, as well as in a flexible universal design.
"This PVC profile with multiple chamber structures is assembled with screws and glue and provides a fully load-bearing wall connection and a support of the window into one unit," said Rudy Slingers, Buildtechnics' business manager. "The additional work involved in installing this Element-Montage-System EMS is more than compensated afterwards when installing the window and the airtight finish."
The Insulation-Flex CF is a highly heat-insulated substructure insulation material for modern construction elements with a Lambda value of 0.038. This pressure-resistant insulation threshold is oriented to the construction depth of the door or (sliding) window and is available with the profile contours of recognized profile systems, as well as in a flexible universal design.
'Correct connections and seals result in an airtight building envelope'
"The high compressive strength of this solution allows screws in the unfinished floor and direct screw fastening of building corners," adds Slingers. "With the appropriate primer and adhesives, all necessary sealing materials, such as sealing strips and foils, can be properly attached to the structure and insulation threshold."
