The more than 75,000 visitors to FENSTERBAU FRONTALE in Nuremberg in 2026 will once again be able to feast their eyes on Kömmerling's booth, where two special and sustainable innovations will be on display: a sliding window system and a hybrid system. The 1,500 square meter booth will also pay ample attention to Kömmerling's sustainable initiatives, with bio-attributed PVC and the alternative reinforcement EcoForce being major crowd-pullers.

FENSTERBAU FRONTALE is the world's largest trade fair for windows and facades. Kömmerling has been here for years with the largest booth, in which every country in which Kömmerling operates worldwide is represented. In addition, the latest innovations are shown every year.
With the sliding window system PremiSlide, Kömmerling is responding to the decreasing number of square meters of living space in new construction projects, says Remco van Overdijk, Country Manager of Kömmerling Netherlands. “When you want to open a standard window in these homes, it easily costs a square meter. Our new sliding window system PremiSlide overcomes this, leaving a maximum number of square meters of living space and also ensuring maximum layout freedom. Because the windows can be produced to door height, they can also be used as access to the balcony, terrace or garden.”
“The new sliding window system will meet all requirements in the Dutch market,” emphasizes Jelmer Bijlsma, Manager of Sustainability & Innovation at Kömmerling Netherlands. “For example with regard to wind and water tightness and burglar resistance. During FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, a pre-production of the frame system will be presented. Visitors can see, feel and experience the system here for the first time. After the fair, the Premislide will be rolled out step by step and available in several countries, including the Netherlands.”

Those visiting Kömmerling's booth also cannot ignore the new WarmCore hybrid system. “This product will also be shown in all its glory,” Bijlsma said. “The hybrid system combines a recycled plastic core with an interior and exterior of powder-coated aluminum, creating an optimum in insulation value, durability and production efficiency.” Van Overdijk: “With this performance, we are responding to an important desire in serial high-rise residential construction, while the modern and sleek look and feel of aluminum will also appeal to luxury residential construction. We therefore expect a lot from this product.”
“The WarmCore hybrid system was initially developed for the (southern) European market (blunt, without stop),” Van Overdijk says. “Next year, in cooperation with a selected partner, we will also make the system suitable for the Dutch market, where a specific installation method applies. In addition, we will go through all relevant certification processes and start the first pilots, after which the system is expected to be widely delivered to the market in 2027.”
In a special section of the booth, visitors can view all of Kömmerling's sustainability and circularity initiatives. As an example, Bijlsma mentions the developments in bio-attributed PVC; a raw material variant in which the fossil component has been replaced by a renewable alternative. “Also interesting is our renewed alternative reinforcement EcoForce, which will play a major role in the sustainability drive. This reinforcement is produced from 100% of recycled PVC, thus providing 96.6% less CO2 emissions per meter compared to a steel reinforcement. Also, this reinforcement is lighter and more workable, which benefits assembly and transportation.”
Kömmerling has nearly 130 years of knowledge and craftsmanship and is considered a premium window frame brand.
The name stands for quality, innovation and sustainability. “In doing so, we go beyond resounding statements of intent,” Bijlsma said. “Our ambition is to make a difference today and make the right actions and decisions for tomorrow's world.” Illustrative of ‘Today For Tomorrow’ is the focus on a closed material cycle. “We are also fully committed to renewable energy and post-consumer recycled packaging materials, among other things.”
Kömmerling Netherlands is part of the German Profine Group. “Together, we keep coming up with telling innovations,” says Van Overdijk. “Besides the cooperation with our international colleagues, the strong relationship with our customers and chain partners, such as builders and architects, also contributes to the creation and success of new innovative ideas. For example, our unique ReFrame system (made of 100% recycled plastic) was created after an architects” visit to our factory.“ Bijlsma: ”And our bio-attributed PVC is another great example. This innovation became a success after we sat down with our raw material supplier as well as one of our customers."
Further thought is also currently being given to innovative circular ambitions, working with TurnToo and Madaster, for example.
