Project: experience center Appeal

Anyone who ever drives along the most famous highway from north to south Netherlands (or vice versa) cannot have missed the new building of corporate caterer Appèl. The building was designed by architecture firm de Twee Snoeken and construction group Moonen started construction in 2017.

Appèl wanted an office with a central heart that has the feel of a living room. The design of the building had to exude passion, be innovative, show the latest trends in the market and inspire customers. Appèl was built with sustainable materials, with more than 400 solar panels and without a gas connection.

On behalf of V.P.G. Aluminium Ramen en Geveltechniek BV, Stalufor concepts in bouwbeslag BV made a fine contribution to the implementation of Appèl. V.P.G. is a medium-sized company specializing in the design, production and assembly of aluminum window frames, doors and curtain walls. V.P.G. distinguishes itself by using direct lines of communication and professionally designed processes. This allows an above average quality and service to be delivered for both product and project.

In addition to the supply of door, window hardware and a sliding door operator, the staff access door contains a KFV Genius panic motor lock in combination with a dormakaba TS 98 XEA door closer. The KFV Genius panic motor lock was linked to an access control system and the door was fitted with a panic bar. This solution was recommended by Stalufor's technical consultants and guarantees a safe entrance as well as a safe escape route for staff. The door fitting is thus fully burglar-resistant in accordance with WK2 and also complies with the European escape route standard NEN-EN 1125.

The dormakaba TS 98 XEA door closer is characterized by a sleek design, fitting seamlessly into the futuristic design of Appèl. Also, the TS 98 XEA is universal and can be applied to any door situation. The door closer ensures that the personnel entrance is opened without resistance, always closes cleanly and guarantees access control.
