In the third quarter of 2018, Stalufor concepts in building hardware introduced an updated product line on behalf of Fapim: Oltre panic hardware. Oltre replaces the Panama panic hardware known to many. Oltre means "a little bit better" in Italian, and that describes this line of products exactly.
Oltre vs. Panama
Oltre is an improved product, but has a number of enduring features that characterize Fapim's panic hardware, such as its universal applicability to aluminum, steel, wood and plastic doors. In addition, Oltre's assembly is identical to Panama's, so no machine modifications are required. Also, the assembly is still not dependent on the chosen profile and lock. Finally, Oltre panic hardware is available in most RAL colors.
The advantages of Oltre panic hardware
Oltre panic hardware also has a number of advantages:
NEN 1125
The NEN 1125 European escape route standard describes that in the event of a panic situation in a public building, an escape door must always be able to be opened under the most unpleasant conditions, by a relatively light pressure on a horizontal pushbar or push-bar operation. The architect prescribes in the specifications which European escape route standards the project must meet.
Stalufor College
Stalufor is the technical specialist in the field of escape route technology. Since 2016, Stalufor has been providing, among other things, a training on escape technique, on-site if required. Here, the various European escape route standards, panic devices and panic functions are discussed in order to familiarise our customers with all the topics surrounding panic situations. Stalufor College also provides training in door automation and support in Orgadata. In cooperation with partner Stalufix, Stalufor also provides on-site installation training for Fapim Galicube window hardware and Fapim Magicube concealed window hardware.
