Carpenters, contractors, glaziers, plastic frame manufacturers and installers; all need products for their construction work. They often buy these from an authorized building wholesaler. When this wholesaler works closely with other relevant parties, it gives the best results.
Burghouwt is one such wholesaler. Established for 43 years, the family business offers added value compared to other more traditional wholesalers. This distinction is readily apparent when looking at the size and diversity of its impressive product range, which ranges from door locks and ventilation technology to industrial clothing and construction scaffolding. The prices and speed with which the company delivers all goods to the customer are also distinctive. Rob van Baars, commercial manager at Burghouwt explains.
"We can offer this added value in part because we work closely with several top manufacturers. We do this in the form of a partnership. In this way, we can offer the best brands while at the same time communicating market demands directly to the manufacturer so that improved products are created."

But this chain cooperation goes a step further. Burghouwt, with branches throughout the Netherlands, also thinks in terms of concepts so that projects are thought along to provide a total solution. "For example, we not only supply the hinges and locks for doors, but we also take care of the entire process leading up to it, such as drawing up door statements to measuring, delivering and assembling the doors. All with the aim of unburdening the customer," says Van Baars.
Thanks to close cooperation, the company has many high-quality products at its disposal. For example, the company is an importer of the unique Centor folding wall system, an in many cases appropriate facade solution. Or the hinges of Axa Home Security. Burghouwt is the first wholesaler to supply the latest type, the Titan. This hinge is the only one in the Netherlands that falls within hinge class 14, which means the processor needs fewer hinges thanks to the large load-bearing capacity of 180 kg. This also applies to the wood-aluminum constructions in which Burghouwt is a forerunner thanks to the cooperation with Gutmann from Germany. Van Baars: "Such constructions are becoming increasingly common in our country. We have already supervised several projects with these from start to finish."

Doing business with an eye for the future, collaborating on beautiful, practical and sustainable buildings, that is what Burghouwt also strives for. Where as much as possible and conscious use is made of sustainable and sensible materials and methods. A good example of this is the cooperation with Duco in the field of energy conservation. Within the framework of the BENG (Nearly Energy Neutral Buildings) legislation, Burghouwt offers good solutions for ventilation, cooling and heat recovery with Duco grilles and systems. Here, too, the company distinguishes itself by offering support throughout the project and ensuring, together with Duco, that the best result is achieved.
Burghouwt also values ease of ordering and logistics. Digital or not, depending on the project. The company offers fast and good solutions from its various offices in the Netherlands. Often this means customization. Human contact and the search for the best solution for the customer are characteristic of the family business.
