The comfort of a door is determined not only by the door itself, but especially by the hardware used and the accessories required around the door. We often see that these accessories in particular are the stepchild of a delivery. A shame, in the opinion of Woelm GmbH in Heiligenhaus. The overall picture must be right and every part around the door contributes to the overall picture.

Woelm produces under the brand name KWS hardware for swinging doors, entrance gates for exterior and interior applications. The hardware is made in steel, aluminum, brass and stainless steel. Reinoud van der Kroon, Country Manager Benelux at Woelm: "The material surface meets the highest requirements. KWS hardware meets every need and is completed by a wide range of handles in aluminum, brass, wood and stainless steel. All can be flexibly customized. To make everything even more complete, Woelm offers an extensive program of door holdbacks and buffers."
Holders that spare the door and contribute to the optics
The door holdbacks, handles and door buffers can now also be supplied in the current trend color matte black. "When using matte black hardware, this gives exactly the look that makes the door completely 'finished,'" outlines Van der Kroon. "However, those who have applied a specific RAL color can also order the handles, door retainers and buffers in a RAL color of their choice. It goes without saying that Woelm also provides versions in stainless steel and anodized surfaces and grades."
Tradition obligatory, Woelm wouldn't be Woelm if development did not continue. "This certainly applies to the hold-downs and buffers. To solve a number of problems for the user, Woelm offers special versions: door stoppers and pillar-mounted hold-openers. The advantages of these are numerous. There is no longer any danger of tripping because the hold-openers and buffers are not mounted on the ground. In new construction or renovations where there are doors that are mounted higher - and therefore too far from the floor for regular stoppers - a door stopper or buffer on a pillar is a godsend. A very important aspect is that the door is spared when using a pillar. By applying force not at the bottom of the door, but more toward the middle of the door, the hinges are spared," Van der Kroon said. Customers can order these accessories pre-assembled on pillars of a length of their choice.
Good grip with great ease of assembly
Those who already work with Woelm's products are already familiar with their quick and easy work. That also applies to the brand's pipe and rod handles. Van der Kroon: "Thanks to our modular system, everything can be made to measure in no time, even on the building site. That gives unprecedented freedom. Consider the size, shape and surface options in both round and square designs. Woelm strives to deliver maximum quality, in the most appropriate optics, with the shortest possible delivery time. Custom work, in any quantity, is delivered to the customer within two weeks at a competitive price."
Finally, we talk to Van der Kroon about 2019. "We also continue to introduce innovations in the area of even wider sliding door hardware and suspended conveyor systems. Anyone who would like to see our novelties for themselves is welcome to attend Baumesse 2019. Woelm will be in Hall 4C, booth 320, to be at 200 m2 our latest developments for industrial doors, interior and exterior doors, house doors, entrance gates, sliding doors and partitions."
