The French investment company Ardian is acquiring Deli Home. This acquisition will enable Deli Home to grow at home and abroad in the coming years. Digital strategy will also become a spearhead. "By putting together our customized products online, the professional processor can do much more work in a working day."
Victor Aquina, CEO of Deli Home, is pleased with the acquisition. "Our position in the Benelux is well shaped, but this acquisition gives us the opportunity to accelerate growth in Germany and France, among others. Our goal is to double in revenue over the next five years through both organic growth and acquisitions. The acquisition will allow us to continue to grow as Europe's digital carpentry factory, deliver more custom concepts and further expand our distribution in the renovation market in particular. Ardian is a strong European player and the ideal partner to leverage our potential in all these areas."
Ardian is a French private investment company with 15 offices worldwide. The investment is made from the Ardian Expansion Fund V. The company aims to generate long-term sustainable value through its investments. In doing so, it wants to realize a positive social impact for all stakeholders and society. It is Ardian's first investment in the Netherlands.
With brands such as Skantrae, CanDo, Bruynzeel, Lundia and Weekamp, Deli Home offers a complete package in different product groups: from doors and wood to screens, floors, cabinets and stairs. Products are supplied through DIY, building materials wholesalers, renovation and online channels in ten European countries. With 1250 employees, annual sales of about €350 million are realized.
Aquina: "The strict segmentation between private and professional processors as you see in the Netherlands often does not exist in other countries. Although a professional does make other demands on a product, for example in terms of quality. He also wants to receive his order customized and at a time convenient to him, preferably at the construction site."
Deli Home is active in the entire chain: from custom production to logistics service. With several production sites in the Netherlands, Poland and the Czech Republic and sales activities in the Benelux, France, Spain,
Portugal, Hungary and Romania, the company is growing rapidly within Europe.
To make ordering even easier, Deli Home invested heavily in an online configurator that Deli Home customers use in their own look and feel. So those online orders are always delivered through the wholesaler. Deli Home does not supply end users directly.
"We provide as much customization as possible and make it easy to install our products. This allows a professional to do much more work in a working day. He orders from his wholesaler using the online configurator and his order then goes directly to the factory. We also guarantee a short delivery time and deliver to the construction site at the desired time. Because it is custom-made, the doors no longer need to be planed and painted on site. Only the hanging and fitting of locks still needs to be done on site. Thus, we are fast becoming the digital carpentry factory of the future."
