Where safety is at home

EVVA is one of the market leaders in mechanical and electronic access control systems in Europe. The originally Austrian family company, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, maintains its leading position through continuous innovation and by positioning relevant new products on the market time and again.

Xesar

Control, security and flexibility, combined in an innovative, electronic locking system - that's Xesar. Applicable in residential complexes, educational facilities or business parks - Xesar is easy and secure to manage. Software installation can be installed locally or via the Cloud.

"With the latter, we create more flexibility through use in multiple locations," said Rick Baayens, commercial manager for EVVA Netherlands. "Multiple users can manage the Xesar system simultaneously. They issue keys, change access rights or operate online doors remotely."

"Thanks to PubSub interfaces (API coupling), it is compatible with alarm, Smart-Building, timekeeping and personnel systems. The hardware consists of an attractively designed Xesar hardware, Xesar door handles in various designs, wall readers in surface-mounted or flush-mounted versions and, of course, our modular Xesar cylinders, the latter of which can also be used as a hybrid solution with mechanical locking systems.
Keys come in the form of Tags, cards and combination keys using Mifare Desfire technology."

AirKey

AirKey is the electronic locking system for a new mobile generation and the answer to the dynamics of modern work and private environments. Providing keys via the Internet, directly on a smartphone through 'Send a Key', complying with the highest security standards and of course suitable for Android and iOS. Baayens: "Online, as an administrator, you easily organize the entire locking system and as an administrator, without being on site, you can monitor the status of and accesses to the doors in real time."

Packaged codes

And what about security? Baayens: "The access codes are not crackable. They are packaged in the smartphone in a way that banks also use. The signal is encrypted and only in the cylinder or wall reader is the code extracted again. Our premise is that we sell security. Because society is aging, with these types of systems we make sure they are also user-friendly. The app is already easy to use; next year we will release a light version of it that is even simpler. People who don't have a smartphone at all can open the door with a tag, card, wristband or combination key. In addition to JCOP, the Tag also has a free Mifare Desfire segment, so it can also be combined with external third-party applications. It goes without saying that AirKey also complies with the EU Basic Data Protection Regulation and a document for the administrator and user can be easily produced from the software."

Interface

Recently, EVVA also introduced the AirKey-Cloud interface, which creates even more possibilities for the user. Baayens: "The AirKey-Cloud interface is an interface (API) that links the software to the AirKey online system. This allows certain functions of AirKey to be controlled directly through the user's own software. With this connection, a new world opens up and AirKey becomes an indispensable link at municipalities, associations, rescue services, power plants, guesthouses, standalone hotels, extramural care, fitness studios, companies, HR software et cetera."

Of course, a high level of security has been considered here as well. The communication between AirKey and external software is secured with an API-Key. The API-Key is only displayed in full once for security reasons. Ten API Keys can be used per locking system. This means that ten in-house software systems can be securely, directly connected to the AirKey online system. Actions performed via the AirKey Cloud are also recorded in the system protocol of the AirKey locking system.
