With the introduction of the modular togetherAlleged SafeRoute escape route systemdormakaba once again demonstrates its extensive expertise in innovative technologies and access solutions for buildings, rooms and premises. As a result, the invention appeals to fire departments, police departments and building managers. In addition, various designers, architects, installers, distributors and contractors have already experienced the numerous advantages of the concept. And that is mainly due to a great deal of flexibility and a multitude of possible applications, says Chretien Velthuizen, responsible for marketing communications within dormakaba Netherlands.

"SafeRoute allows you to protect the door from unauthorized entry or misuse without violating building codes. The temporary access restriction controls that no one can simply enter or leave walking. Saving people in need and inventaris and protect know-how: that's what SafeRoute does."

Opening, locking, controlling: with SafeRoute, it's all possible. Moreover, the system can be quickly and easily modified to existing or changed usage conditions. Thus, SafeRoute users benefit from the new licensing model, where they only pay for the functions that are actually needed. At the same time, additional functions can be added to the system at any time as required. The existing hardware remains intact and only a new license needs to be purchased.

The components are available in various designs.

Features

SafeRoute includes several basic components, including several types of door locks and the so-called STL-G door terminal. The latter features an emergency button and a key switch in a surface-mounted housing. Together with the electrical locking system, the door terminal meets the requirements of both BS EN 13637 and EltVTR, the German guideline for electrical locking systems on escape route doors.

"The emergency button can be used with the help of a license card be turned into a control and monitoring panel," Velthuizen continued. "Thereby, the license card determines the different functions. For example, it is possible to monitor and operate a group of up to four escape route doors with one master. Without a license card, the STL-G door terminal can also be used as an additional door terminal for an escape route door as a 'slave' in a group."

Depending on the license card selected, many components can be connected, such as key switches, touch screens, I/0 modulesson and smoke detectors. In addition, the system is suitable for networking or connecting to the building management system.

Appropriate design

In addition to a multitude of flexibility and ease of use, the robust and vandal-resistant SafeRoute products are characterized by a tasteful and stylish design in accordance with XEA, dormakaba's exclusive design concept. "The SafeRoute components can be optimally fitted to every conceivable interior in terms of design and color scheme  e tuned," Velthuizen said. "At the same time, the design of the escape route system connectssteem seamlessly with various other products from our program. We stand for uniformity in quality, but also when it comes to the design of our techniques."
