Our window frames and doors are subject to increasingly higher functional requirements. For example, with regard to burglar resistance, fire resistance, closing sequence control, access control and anti-panic functions. In combination with the multi-point locks, mortise locks and panic locks by KFV/SIEGENIA, De Brug Timmerfabriek is ideally equipped to meet these requirements.
From frames, windows and doors to dormers, conservatories and prefabricated carpentry, De Brug Timmerfabriek specializes in the production and supply of custom wooden solutions for new construction and renovation.
With Joop and Rianne Kastelijn is now the second generation at the helm of the family business, which since its inception in 1980 has grown into a full and extremely modern equipped carpentry factory where all possible woodwork can be realized.
"Thanks to our fully automated production line, we can respond flexibly and quickly to customer requirements, while ensuring optimal quality," says company manager Renzo van Duijnhoven.
"On request, our exterior frames, windows and doors are delivered to the project completely painted and including hinges and locks. And we can also provide the glazing; from double glazing to insulating, soundproof, tinted or self-cleaning glass. For the interior frames, we are also happy to take care of the digital measurement and complete (finishing) assembly on site, including the assembly of any door closers and locks."
To keep inventories up to date, De Brug Timmerfabriek has clear supplier agreements in place. Such as with KFV, a division of SIEGENIA GROUP, which regularly supplies lever- and key-operated multi-point locks, mortise locks and panic locks. The cooperation with KFV/SIEGENIA is a logical one, according to Van Duijnhoven.
"For example, because of the excellent price and quality ratio as well as service levels, which include product advice, drawing and fast problem follow-up."
A good example of this service is the new building for Special Education (SO) De Rungraaf and Secondary Special Education (VSO) De Korenaer on Avignonlaan in Best. The Design & Build project was carried out by Dura Vermeer Division Construction and Real Estate. De Brug Timmerfabriek was involved at an early stage to help think about, for example, the access control and anti-panic functions.
"Together with KFV/SIEGENIA supplier and partner Burghouwt, we visited the site and determined the most suitable products for this project. Chosen were KFV GENIUS panic door locks (900 series) in combination with an external access control system, as this achieves optimum burglar resistance, fire resistance, closing sequence control, electronic access control and anti-panic functions. The products are mounted on our double and single hardwood stacking doors and FSC-certified Mahogany exterior frames."
De Brug Timmerfabriek also used KFV/SIEGENIA products in the new construction of 28 ground-floor homes in the Dijkstraten neighborhood of Best.
"Commissioned by developer and builder Stam + De Koning, we produced and delivered the front and back door frames, including doors, hardware and glazing," Van Duijnhoven says.
"At the front, stabilized/composite Tricoya front doors were chosen with a hardwood and FSC-certified Mahogany frame. The doors are finished with Hoppe security hardware, BSW project hinges and cylinder operated KFV AS2502 multi-point locks. The stacked sill rear doors are constructed of Mahogany and fitted with crank-operated KFV AS4900 multi-point locks. With these products, we perfectly match the regulations in the project. For example, with regard to burglar resistance and user comfort. All doors are painted and finished in RAL 7016 and delivered according to Concept II. A unique aspect of this project is that we worked with prefab concrete shells, in which our frames and doors have already been pre-assembled."
