Sensible and senseless use of a door lock. Knowledge of the door ensures proper locking

A house has several entrances. A front door, a back door, perhaps a patio door, and perhaps side entry doors as well. To arrive at the right locking system, you need to ask some questions beforehand. Questions such as: which door is used most often and how? Do they want the door continuously locked, self-locking or do they want to be able to open this door via a smart home system? Important questions that lead to sound advice and a satisfied resident.

The MACO locks platform

MACO's door concept is unique in the market. In processing, one only needs to work with one milling from the MACO PROTECT lock lines: Basic, Premium & Excellent. With these time- and cost-saving products where milling dimensions, screw and drill patterns are the same, as well as cabinet positions, machine set-up is facilitated and complexity in inventory and logistics is reduced. In addition, this ensures efficient production and flexibility of choice through standardization.

Basic line

The BASIC line stands for standard locking with hook. A basic that locks well: simple, secure and tight. The Basic concept PTI Protect Industry is a narrow and smart range. It is suitable for single and double doors and can be operated by cylinder or handle. 

Premium line

When one combines the hook with a pin and latch bolt, one arrives at the PREMIUM line. The pin and hook provide extra security and position the door optimally when locking. If one wants extra security, one chooses the Premium locks in combination with the MACO SKG3 locking plates and achieves SKG3 security. In addition, the Premium line is modular so that the cabinet heights can be used as modules. Thus, a height of 3,020 mm can be achieved. This line is very suitable for the renovation market. The Premium line consists of the G-TS and Z-TS (cylinder or crank operated) and is suitable for both single and double doors.  

Excellent line

The three latch bolts of the EXCELLENT line automatically keep heat inside and exclude drafts and moisture. The closing force runs semi-automatic or automatic. The semi-automatic, the Z-TF, like the rest of the Excellent line, has a 3 latch bolt system: even if the door is unlocked, the door is pulled at three points. This counteracts warping of the door. The automatic lock that locks without a key is the A-TS and can also be equipped with a motor. 

The M-TS will be released at the end of this year: with fully motorized unlocking and locking that is also very fast, smart and quiet. Both the A-TS and the M-TS can be equipped with different access control systems.  

Training

Joost De Kegel (Belgium) and Dirk Zwaan (Netherlands), Product Managers at MACO and responsible for door locks, find that even better choices can be made through training and make MACO partners strong through knowledge and information.
