BRING OUTSIDE IN

Natural ventilation allows fresh outside air to come in through the facade, because the shortest way is the healthiest way: Bring Outside In.

It is important that we all think about how we can improve our indoor lives. Whether you are an individual, architect or installer, we all bear a responsibility to create a healthy indoor environment.

Natural ventilation with system C

What is the best approach to ventilation? "What matters is bringing fresh air directly from outside to inside. Because with that you dilute the concentration of pollutants. The fresh air coming from a ventilation system C is often better received by the human body. The reason for this is purely psychological, says Davy Sallaerts, Product Manager at DUCO: "Fresh air entering living spaces through ducts can be experienced differently from air entering through window grilles. Fresh air through grilles is more compact. As a result, the air contains more units of oxygen and the human body responds better to fresh than preheated air as in a system D. However, the quality of the supply air in balanced ventilation (system D) is at least equivalent."

CO2 to measure is to know

So how do you know that enough fresh air is being supplied? A useful measure is the concentration of CO2 in the air. That concentration should be below 800 ppm and can be easily measured with a CO2-meter. Applying a demand-controlled ventilation system significantly improves the indoor climate. The quality of the air is then constantly monitored by sensors. In case of excessive concentrations of moisture and CO2 the air is automatically refreshed.

How we at DUCO are able to reduce that CO2-concentration? Simple, with box sensors and stylish room sensors in white and black. These communicate wirelessly with the central ventilation unit so that the exhaust rate is automatically regulated in all dry and wet rooms. The advantage is that rooms that are empty are not ventilated unnecessarily. Spaces with higher occupancy rates are actually ventilated more.

DUCO's smart demand control delivers up to 40% reduced consumption on heating. The moreinvestment of demand-controlled ventilation compared to central ventilation can thus be recovered in about three years. Through this smart demand control, Tronic grilles open and close automatically. Ventilation takes place only when and where it is needed and it is completely silent. Comfort guaranteed!
