Innovation drive opens door to new hardware solutions 

HoutPro+ 2025 is an excellent opportunity for FUHR to further promote its broad expertise and innovative strength around access control systems and interlocks. This will therefore take place at booth 6220 in Hall 6. As a follow-up to the lock series 835 introduced in 2021, the company is presenting three new products here: an automatic locking system for pivot doors, a multi-point locking system for nurseries and an access control system for which the smartphone is the key. Welcome solutions, with which FUHR is once again taking nice steps forward.

Pivot doors are among the most sophisticated door structures in high-end residential and commercial buildings. A feature that largely explains the growing popularity of these products. In order to ensure adequate security and sealing around such elements, FUHR has already been offering the combination of the autosafe 835 series automatic locking system and the powerful motor drive autotronic since 2021. The introduction of autosafe 835Pivot now extends the line further. “The autosafe 835Pivot is a new, patented pivot door solution developed as an extension of the existing 835 components,” said Michiel Hofman, sales manager Benelux at FUHR. “With this lock it is possible to achieve a comfortable and motorized opening on both sides with an automatic multi-point lock. Even with high doors. At the same time, the DuoSecure technology ensures with stable swivel hooks that the door is securely locked and closed on both sides.”

Definitely locked

FUHR devised the automatic multi-point locking Autosafe 835P with double door handle especially for use in kindergartens. The latter ensures that children cannot slip out unnoticed, but can escape in case of emergency without outside help. “Operation of the lower handle or anti-panic bar causes the release to be activated and an alarm to sound,” Hofman explains the operation. “Moreover, this invention is multifunctional and offers the necessary flexibility. For example, it is possible to set up the access rules during drop-off and pick-up times as you wish. Through the additional installation of a motor you can open the door motorically and the access control system can be connected.” Finally, the closure certified according to EN 179 and EN 1125 is perfectly suited to be combined with interlocks or signaling.

Your phone is the key

During the trade fair, FUHR also officially presents the new SmartAccess concept. With this advanced access control system, the result of a thorough development process, it is possible to open doors easily and controlled without a key and, if desired, with an app via a smartphone. “SmartAccess turns a smartphone into the key,” Hofman succinctly summarizes the system's main quality. “You open the door comfortably and securely with the smartphone, without using an Internet connection or the cloud.” 

The beating heart of the innovative feat of access control is the SmartAccess Module SAM. This compact Bluetooth receiver can be simply placed by users on the motor of a FUHR lock, after which it immediately turns into a Smart Lock. Nice extras are the simple operation and the possibility of versatile expansion of the system. “Even for retrofitting, the SmartAccess is extremely suitable,” concludes Hofman.
