Functionality and aesthetics are perfectly combined

In Heerhugowaard, DEZA Kozijnen opened the doors of a brand new showroom. This sustainable building in the De Vaandel business park in Heerhugowaard was designed by Van Schie Architects and built by M3 Ruimtebouwers. For the sun blinds, the choice fell on DUCO's DucoSun Wing: a solution that perfectly combines functionality and aesthetics.

A showroom ready for the future

DEZA Kozijnen, partner of Select Windows, specializes in the sale and installation of plastic window frames within the private renovation market. They are taking an important step forward with the construction of their new showroom.

DucoSun Wing: sun protection with architectural added value

Architect Daan van Schie deliberately integrated the DucoSun Wings into the design. "In addition, the structural sun protection contributes to the indoor climate and energy consumption. The DucoSun Wings block out the sun in the summer and actually let in heat in the winter. This is how we reduce cooling and heating requirements," says Daan van Schie. An additional advantage is the walkway behind the slats, which provides safe access to the glass curtain wall for maintenance and cleaning.

The choice of structural shading

During the design phase, structural shading was deliberately chosen instead of traditional solutions. "The DucoSun Wing offers an integral solution: shading, architectural value and energy savings all in one," explains architect Daan van Schie. Commercial director Amanda Knol was also immediately enthusiastic about the product. "I saw the DucoSun Wing in a newsletter and forwarded it to our architect. The owners of DEZA Kozijnen were immediately sold!" 

Successful partnership with DUCO

The project was realized in collaboration with DUCO and dealer Belfort. "The contact with DUCO's project consultant went smoothly. The execution through processor Belfort and the builders was excellent," emphasizes Amanda Knol, commercial director Select Windows. "The result can be seen. We are enormously satisfied. The showroom has wonderful light and a fantastic view outside!" 

With this showroom, DEZA Kozijnen not only establishes a future-proof building, but also an architectural statement in which the DucoSun Wing plays a leading role.
