Safety is a high good - and a good feeling. That applies to protection in private living quarters as much as in public buildings. FSB products are the first choice when security needs to go hand in hand with well-conceived comfort features. The Brakel-based hardware manufacturer is now expanding its range of tried-and-tested window handles to include a new lockable variant as well as window handles with operating lock and an optional locking button that are burglar-resistant even without a key.
What the new window handles with operation locking without or with locking function have in common is the convenient operation concept: push, turn, open.
The new window handle with operating lock is locked in any position. Only by pressing the handle against the window sash can the handle be operated in the normal turn/tilt cycle. This operating mode applies to both the non-lockable and lockable vari-ant. Both versions snap into any 90° position. This is especially true in combination with the lockable variant, because RC compliance is also guaranteed for windows with the tilt-for-turn function. The anti-intrusion properties summarized under standard DIN EN 1627 differentiate between classes RC2N, RC2, and RC3, with class RC2 being suitable for most areas of application. The window handle with operating lock and additional release button is also suitable for burglary-resistant elements in accordance with DIN EN 1627 to 1630 and is the first non-key RC2 tested window handle on the market. Even the non-locking version protects the window handle against ma-nipulation of the pin from the outside. It is ideally suited for use in numerous applications: from kindergarten to residential care center - in other words, wherever the accidental or unwanted opening of the window must be prevented.
The lockable version features a minimalist release button that allows the window handle to be engaged. When pressing the button and simultaneously pressing the handle against the sash, the handle can be operated and the window opened (two-handed operation). The release button is removable if the window is to remain closed in any circumstance.
In terms of consistent building fit-out from door to window, the new window handles with actuation lock extend all FSB product families.
For our handle designs FSB 1076, 1108, 1244 and 1289, we have developed a convenient yet understated solution: the locking cylinder and key are located in the handle instead of in the rose facing the user. This allows the use of a smaller rosette, as is common with non-closing window handles. Particularly elegant is the combination with the FSB 0810 surface in black blasted anodized aluminum. For this version, the cylinder is coated black.
