For almost a century, Woelm GmbH, based in Heiligenhaus in North Rhine-Westphalia, has developed and produced innovative products and product systems in the area of hardware technology: the HELM brand offers sophisticated sliding solutions for modern residential and commercial construction, such as, for example, hardware systems for sliding doors made of wood and glass, heavy sliding gates, sliding shutters or furniture doors. The KWS brand stands for functionally high-quality applications around the door. The comprehensive hardware program ranges from door handles and shell handles via door stops and door buffers to hand rails and systems for partitions and closets.
The HELM GT series is a high-quality hardware system for single and double sliding doors, suitable for mounting on the (glass) wall or ceiling, as well as for ceiling installation - optionally in combination with a fixed glass side wall. The HELM GT-L 50 is used for light interior sliding doors with a sash weight of up to 50 kg, the GT-L 80 for doors with a sash weight of up to 80 kg, and the GT-S 150 was developed for heavy sash weights of up to 150 kg. The compact guide with integrated clamping rail and the open runners, which allow the sashes to be suspended from the front, offer decisive advantages not only during installation but also during subsequent adjustment. Depending on the version, the hardware is suitable for both toughened safety glass and laminated safety glass and, with suitable adapters, can also be used for wooden doors.
While the fixtures of the GT series were previously available in the timelessly subtle finishes EV1 and stainless steel effect, an additional color shade has now been launched in matte black, which fascinates with its depth of color and brings elegance and luxury to modern rooms.
KWS handles are perfectly matched to HELM sliding door hardware: the spectrum ranges from classic round and angular bar handles to bowl handles, which are space-savingly mounted flush to the door leaf or recessed flush into it. In addition, the large door handle range from KWS also includes a large number of models for external doors: round, angular or square, made of aluminum, stainless steel or brass. There is a suitable door handle for every taste and requirement. A special feature is the innovative KWS modular system, which opens up a wide range of possibilities for the individual and independent adaptation of door handles: the mutually compatible modules of the system need only be plugged together. It is an equally efficient and flexible solution with maximum design freedom.
Another highlight are the door stop or door buffer combinations, which are particularly suitable for use on outward-opening (automatic) entrance doors. They block the turning range of the door and serve as reliable protection against damage. At the same time, their height makes them highly visible, minimizing the risk of tripping accidents. The posts can optionally be recessed into the floor or screwed into place.
