Continuous drive for innovation
Care and aftercare of windows, doors, sectional doors, awnings, patio covers, etc., is crucial. After all, the work has to be in perfect order down to the last detail and also stay that way for a long time. This is why manufacturing companies call on specialists. Novatio has been developing and supplying solutions for the assembly, cleaning and repair of windows, doors and gates since 1978: lubricants, surface treatment, cleaning agents and bonding products.
Under the motto "Novatio Made for Makers," the Olen-based company recently developed several new innovative solutions for corner bonding, corner sealing and anti-corrosion treatment.
Novatio has become an international player with today more than 100 employees, active in 28 countries, offering innovative solutions and concepts for assembly and maintenance in the window and door sector, as well as in industry and automotive. The specialist continues to invest continuously in innovative products. Recently, 5 new products were developed for the window and door sector. In addition to the 1K MD hybrid polymer adhesive FCP-110 FP Construct Windows and Doors and the 2K MS hybrid polymer adhesive FCP-111 Construct 2K Windows and Doors, a 2K epoxy adhesive and a hybrid MS polymer sealant were also added to the range with the EPC-140 EP Construct 2K Windows and Doors and the HMS-210 Frame Sealant Trans Windows and Doors. Finally, ACO-210 Anticorro Windows and Doors, an anti-corrosion treatment for mitered windows and doors, was presented.
"Everyone knows that correct preparation of workpieces is crucial for a perfect finish. For example, it is important to prevent corrosion in aluminum profiles. We are therefore introducing new protective products for the saw cuts of the profiles and new bonding products for the corner joints," says Novatio brand manager Geert Vanlommel. "Moreover, these new solutions are Meko and isocyanate-free. Recently, some important chemicals have been classified as hazardous substances by the EU. Our products do not include any known hazardous substances, which makes them more environmentally friendly and safer to use ánd no additional training is required for their processing."
Novatio has been an established player in Belgium for years, but also focuses on the Dutch market, which does require a different approach. With a team of technical advisors, the company focuses specifically on the windows and doors sector. They listen to the market demand and convert the needs into a specific product. This does not involve mass production, but they look for specific solutions within a certain product group. To this end, they have their own R&D department and scientific lab in Olen, which is continuously working on the optimization of existing products and the development of new, innovative solutions.
"With more than 1,000 products for bonding, sealing, maintenance, treatment and cleaning, we have the right solution for every specific challenge. We now offer a complete range of products for the preparation of the gluing process, for use during the production and assembly of windows and doors as well as for maintenance and repair," Geert Vanlommel concludes.
"Together with our customers, we also developed maintenance boxes for aluminum and PVC windows, doors, gates and patio covers. Those Maintenance boxes consist of products for cleaning, protection and lubrication. They are used on the shop floor of manufacturers, who also offer them to distributors. These in turn sell them to the end customer."
